I/O Psychologist & EQ Coach | Godmother, Auntie, Athlete & Researcher Bringing Science to Everyday Life
I’m Dr. Mo (Morgan Gleason, PhD), an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist who helps leaders communicate clearly, lead with emotional intelligence, and perform effectively under pressure.
I work with leaders and teams in high-demand environments—especially in healthcare, customer service, and organizations navigating constant change. My focus is simple: helping people show up more effectively in the moments that matter most—when communication is tense, expectations are high, and burnout is real.
Much of leadership development adds complexity. My work does the opposite—it focuses on what actually holds up under pressure.
That perspective comes from organizational psychology and wilderness survival. As a survivalist, I’ve learned that in unpredictable conditions, success depends on a small set of essential skills executed well. That insight shapes my approach to leadership.
These principles are reflected in Innerwerk’s 5 Leadership Competencies:
Clarity
Courage
Congruence
Curiosity
Choice
These aren’t abstract ideas—they’re practical skills leaders can apply immediately to improve communication, reduce friction, and build more stable, high-performing teams.
I combine evidence-based practices with real-world tools leaders can actually use. My workshops are direct, experiential, and focused on what changes behavior—not just what sounds good.
Over the past five years, I’ve helped teams navigate difficult conversations, strengthen emotional intelligence, and reduce burnout in high-pressure environments. I’m currently conducting community-based research on nurse burnout, recently established a nonprofit focused on wellbeing in underserved communities, and serve as Board Director of Culture and Veterinary Wellness for a Raleigh-based veterinary nonprofit.
I also co-host a podcast on wellbeing and emotional work, exploring what it takes to stay human when life—and work—get demanding.
Outside of work, I’m a long-distance runner and triathlete, and a proud godmother and auntie who never misses a chance to connect with my 6-year-old nephew.
When I’m not working with teams, you’ll usually find me outdoors—still testing the same principles of resilience and adaptability that shape my work.
If your organization is navigating pressure, change, or communication challenges, Innerwerk helps leaders stay clear, grounded, and effective when it matters most.
